Get Rid of the Logon Screen on Windows XP |
The Problem
How to remove the logon screen on Windows XP and to guarantee a fast entrance without selecting users and typing passwords aka automatic log in.
The Solution
Select Start > Run and type control userpasswords2. Select the default user you would like to use and disable the option: Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer. Click OK.
A new window with title Automatically Log On will appear. Make sure the user name is the same as the user you desire to use and leave the password blank.
